SNOWMOBILE TRAIL PERMITS

A Town of Webb Trail Permit is required. Town of Webb Snowmobile Trail Permits are currently on sale for the upcoming winter season. The Pre-Season Permit sale price is $80 per snowmobile until November 15, 2024 and then the price will be $100.

To order online, click "Purchase Your Permit". To save on processing fees, you can elect to "Pay in Person" and mail in a check or money order. Paper applications can be downloaded and mailed in, however, there may be delays due to processing errors. Click here to download the application.

There is also a Seasonal Weekday permit for $60 per snowmobile that gives a discount to the visitors and local residents who like to ride during the week but not on weekends. That special permit is good for the entire season from 5pm Sunday evenings to 5pm Friday evenings.

Weekly permits can also be purchased during the snowmobile season for $55 each and are good for seven days from date of purchase.

Permits can be purchased at the Visitor Information Center in Old Forge, located at 3140 State Route 28.  This office is open seven days a week, Mondays through Saturdays from 8am until 4:45 pm and on Sundays from 9am until 4:45 pm.

Permits can also be purchased during snowmobile season at the Stillwater Hotel, located on Stillwater Reservoir, 2590 Stillwater Road, Lowville NY 13367, phone 315-376-2110 and 315-376-6470. 

Free maps of the snowmobile trails are available upon request.

• Permits Stickers must be displayed on the driver’s left windshield.
  
  
• Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) and your birthdate are required to issue a permit.
  Permits should be purchased by or in the name of the owner of the snowmobile whose name appears on the New York State registration. Permits are not transferable from one person to another.
  
  
• Replacement stickers can only be issued (one time only) if the old sticker with the number visible is presented. (Old stickers can be removed by applying heat, as with a hair dryer.) A replacement permit will not be issued without receiving the old sticker first. To upgrade a weekly permit to a seasonal permit, the paper receipt of the weekly permit must be submitted to our office.

Prices are per snowmobile, a $3 or 2.65% fee (whichever is greater) will be added for credit card payments.

You will need your snowmobile's Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). If you are waiting for a new sled, type the words "WILL CALL" and then once you phone with the VIN, the permit will be mailed to you.
You can register up to 6 snowmobiles per online submission form. If you have more than 6 snowmobiles to register, you must do a second application
