Permits Stickers
must be displayed
on the driver’s left windshield.
Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs)
and your
birthdate
are required to issue a permit.
Permits should be purchased by or in the name of the owner of the snowmobile whose name appears on the New York State registration. Permits are not transferable from one person to another.
Replacement stickers
can only be issued (one time only) if the old sticker with the number visible is presented. (Old stickers can be removed by applying heat, as with a hair dryer.) A replacement permit will not be issued without receiving the old sticker first.
To upgrade a weekly permit to a seasonal permit, the paper receipt of the weekly permit must be submitted to our office.
You can register up to 5 snowmobiles per online submission form.
Permits expire April 1, 2014
